Reese Specialty Foods

Happy Tuesday beauties! I hope you're enjoying your week so far. I am FINALLY getting around to posting these delicious recipes from- Reese Specialty Foods, #HeartToHeartKitchen Artichoke Hearts.

One of my dearest and longest time friends, Mckenna- is an amazing, + a self-made- professional chef! She won- 'Guys Grocery Games' in, December, (rightfully so) because her food is AMAZING! we lived together when I was in my twenties- and I always came home to delicious, homemade meals! I was always confused though, because neither of us made a lot of money, and weeks when we wouldn't get to the grocery store, our cupboards were BARE! But somehow she managed to create something out of nothing! I knew her cooking would be special one day! McKenna was kind enough to pass along her delicious- Artichoke- jalapeno-spinach-dip, recipe! It was the BIGGEST hit of the night!

She was also kind enough to share the recipe with all of you as well! Here it is:

I used- 2 jars of Reese Specialty Foods, artichoke hearts-
2-3 cups of chopped spinach
2 blocks of cream cheese
1 1/2 Jalapeno
1 cup of white wine (or add as needed)
1 cup of Parmesan
1/4 butter
1 ts of olive oil
1 ts garlic

In a cast iron skillet, heat butter and olive oil together, then let cook- add, garlic, jalapeno, and artichoke hearts- let cook down- then add two blocks of cream cheese- let that cook down and slowly add the white wine, and Parmesan cheese. Let cook for about 20-25 minutes- add salt and pepper for taste, and serve with your favorite side dish! I used bread for mine- I may or may not have a slight bread obsession. Thank goodness I don't have a gluten allergy. (knock on wood)

I was so happy to be able to share this yummy appetizer with some darling dinner guests!

Greek Pizza with Artichoke Hearts, Recipe:

Any pizza crust- pre-made
1 jar Reese Specialty Foods artichoke hearts
1 cup kalamata olives
1 cup of mozzarella cheese
2 cups cherry tomatoes
2 cups of spinach
1/2 purple onion
1 jar of pesto

Directions:
Smear pesto on entire pizza dough, add mozzarella, tomatoes, Reese Specialty Foods artichoke hearts, and everything else! (no extra salt needed) the pesto is salty enough. I cooked mine on the BBQ- but you can put it in the oven as well- for 20-25 minutes.

I was also able to meet two blogging friends and have them over for the dinner- Dakota + Kylee- it was so fun to be able to talk to them about the blogging world! It was also so nice to have my best friend, Felysha there to get an understanding of what my blogging life is all about! She was so amazing + helped me out in soooo many ways! I was also super grateful to have another fabulous friend of mine, Kaitlyn there to help as well!

Once again- The High Pines did an amazing job with the photos!

Forgive me- I am not a recipe writer, lol. I usually eyeball everything- so I hope those helped!

Have a great week, my friends!

Favorite Pair Of Blue Jeans

There is no denying it... We ALL have that one pair of jeans we probably wear a little too much, and wait (what society would consider to be a huge no no) too many days in between washes- am I right?

Well these are definitely those jeans for me! They fit perfectly, they stretch just enough so you don't feel like you're being squeezed to death, and the high waist is just an extra added bonus!

You can pick up yourself a pair (or two) at- American Eagle.
And you'll be happy to know that they are on, SALE! Wahoo! Let me know how you like them once you order some.

I got this top to wear to my best friend's wedding. I was really excited about it, because I knew it would be versatile. You could dress it up, or down (like I have here) And I have great news- It's on sale for under $30- Wahoo. You can find one for yourself, at Nordstrom Rack.

My shoes are from, Famous Footwear- They are last years style, so I'm not sure they'd have the exact ones. But you can check!

Oh and ps... My scarf was my granny Hackford's, the most amazing little lady I ever knew. I miss her sooo much. I feel super grateful to be able to wear the same things she wore at my age.

Thank you so much for stopping by + taking time to read. It always means so much to me. Thank you for the, love. Xx- Meg <3 p="">

How To Maintain Healthy Skin

Let's talk about skin care!

As we get older our skin begins to lose it's 'elasticity'.  That's why it is soooo super important to STAY HYDRATED. I'm not talking about those late afternoon diet cokes either. (you know who you are)... I'm talking about good 'ol fashioned, H2O.

In a world full of fun drinks and so many choices, it's no wonder people have such a hard time drinking water.

Wanna know a seceret: The more water you drink, the more your body needs it, + drinking it will become like second nature! So DRINK UP!

Water is so good for the health of your skin. It keeps it  moisturized, fresh + assists in keeping your PH levels balanced.
You know what else is super beneficial for your skin? LEMON! It is AMAZING for clearing out blemishes, naturally exfoliating + cleansing you from the inside out.
Not only that, it helps with so many other things as well. (all about lemon's post, is coming soon)

Along with staying hydrated, my diet has a ton to do with how well my skin does.
Stick to those healthy greens my friends, they contain so many amazing anti bodies that are fantastic for your skin's health. Green apples, Kale, spinach, green salads, peppers, etc. Besides, when you eat healthy you not only look good on the outside, but most importantly, you FEEL good on the inside. And of course, staying active will always benefit you! Whether it be nightly stretching or yoga, walking a certain amount during the day, or crazy workouts at the gym. It doesn't matter what you do, just get that blood flowing in your body.

Last but not least, wash your face before bed every night! I know there are days when you just feel so exhasuted you just want to pass out. But leaving dirt + oils from your day, on your skin overnight will cause MAJOR breakouts. Not only will it cause breakouts, but it will cause your pores to stretch, increasing chances of your skin losing its elasticity. (which means you'll look older faster) You also want to make sure you are exfoliating 2-3 times a week. Doing it more than that can actually cause your skin to over produce oils + cause you to break out!

Here are some products I love:

Neutrogena- I've always loved their products. They jive well with my skin. Right now i'm using the "Grapefruit Scrub"

Rodan + Fields- Eye cloths. They aren't only amazing for removing pesky eye makeup, but they assist in reducing puffiness, fine lines + wrinkles, + dark circles. WHAT!?  Like the most amazing eye cloths EVER. Click HERE to find your own.

I hope these tips were helpful for you!

Try them out, and let me know what you think :)

Happy Hump Day, my friends!

Xx,
Meg ♥

Being that it is unusaully warm for this time of year, it's hard to stay cool, and wear the fun fall fashion we all get super excited about! Am I right!?

This dress is PERFECT for this hot heat wave, while still sticking to the fall vibes we all love.
It's lightweight, airy, + super soft. It's perfect for a night out on the town with the ladies, a hot date with your lover, or it could be worn to a specific event you might be attending.

This dress could honestly be styled so many different ways. I kept it pretty simple in these pictures, because this dress definitely speaks for itself.

You can find one for yourself at, Pleated Empire. Not only is it a darling dress, but some of the proceeds go to help find a cure for breast cancer. + being that it's Breast Cancer Awareness month, what better way to show your support than purchasing one of these sexy little numbers?

My fall booties are from, H&M, clutch was a find from, Tjmaxx, and my sunnies are American Eagle.

Hello, loves!

When I was asked to do a giveaway for, Albion Fit, my first thought was. "Hmmm, me do a fitness shoot." I'm definitely not the most ideal fitness gal, I'll be honest. I get on kicks where I think I'm going to get my ass out of bed in the morning and go running. That lasts about a week.

Truth be told, I don't have any specific workout plan. I am just such an active person. I love to hike, dance, play, run, and lets be honest, every now + then just be lazy!

But, whether you are a huge fitness guru, or like me + love to just go with the flow, but stay active. This shirt is for you! It is super comfy, fits perfect, light weight, and very soft! It even has finger holes. MY FAVE!

Oh, and yes. My dog is attached to my hip! hehe

Fall, I'm Ready For You

Happy Friday, dolls!

This outfit has me all like, "Fall I'm ready for you"
I'm never one to wish away summer, but who else is MELTING in this heat!? I'm ready to get cozied up.

These colors worked so well together. I love dark blues and maroons. With just a touch of color. I didn't know if the tights were going to be, too much. But they work! (at least I think so, lol)

These shorts were a gift from my friend, and shop owner Jessica. She owns, Salt + Sirena. It's such a lovely online boutique. Jess has an amazing eye for style. I loved her the moment I met her on, instagram. You must go check out her boutique. The clothes are very well made, and super comfy.

My cardigan, tank, and shoes are all from, American Eagle. I used to work there in, college + have loved it ever since.

My hat was a gift from, Lack Of Color. If you've followed my blog for a long time, you're probably sick of seeing it. lol
Hats don't go out of style. They are a classy item to have for years to come.

These stunning bracelets you see are from a jewelery line called, Musana. Their moto is, "Creating Change. Each product supports the employment + education of women in, Uganda." The bracelets I'm wearing were made by a beautiful women named, Ruth Nakinsige. Read her story HERE. She sounds like such an amazing and hard working women. Her story will touch your heart, + make you very grateful for what you have. She's beautiful, and I LOVE my bracelets.

Happy Friday, all!
Hope you enjoy your weekend.
